I made a transition to the Pixel 3a in Dec 2019 and this has by far been the best experience I’ve had with Android. This is the phone I would invite any iPhone user to consider transitioning to.
Now since owning an iPad Pro I have to admit, I can see the benefits of remaining in the Apple ecosystem (aka. walled garden) because a lot of my documents would be synced through iCloud and the one key feature Pixel is missing is the equivalent to [[iCloud Backup]].
My Pixel is no longer my daily driver due to my iPad Pro as of May 2020.
I’m a bit surprised that my Pixel didn’t last a year before having subtle performance lag. This makes me dream about getting another iPhone and willing to give it another year or two.
An Apple Silicon powered MacBook is likely to have a priority to fill in a gap to be effective at focusing on the development of an iPad autobio app (which is not my priority and hobby at best!)
