I looked back at a visual I created two days prior researching HL7 and FHIR:
bridging human being w science of wellbeing
I am fascinated to see what degree of depth there is in this triple analogy (is this even a concept?) in the context of wellbeing:
augmentation:surveillance::coaching:science::human:machine
by leveraging the call to bring machine learning to EHRs (to address physician burnout) and industry’s obsession with paid coaching programs both clinical (eg. Omada Health, Rally Health) and personal development (eg. Landmark Worldwide and endless more)
It will require some research to understand what is already done to extend EHRs to a more unified, extensible, cross-domain data structure in a way that strategically moves an effort forward in regards to centralizing and owning our data.
